Autumn ABC

Well, I liked the first one so much that I had to make another one! The first one was on 28 ct and I slipped it into a tuckable pillow. It was a gift for a friend. This one was done on 32 ct lambswool. I am planning to somehow use the same quilted pumpkin fabric that I used for "Boo" to finish this one. I just love the colors of these fibers. I'm going to have to stop at the LNS this weekend to pick up an acorn button. (Oh dear, do I have to go to the LNS?)

I also hate to admit it, but I'm getting old. I finally broke down and purchased a magnifier - the daylight flexilens on a mini-clip. I can see my stitching much better. I'll have to go back to trying one-over-one again, now that I will be able to see the threads! LOL

Cathy: That is a darling Fall stitch! Yeah, be carful in the LNS -- maybe leave some stuff behind for other stitchers to buy LOL. I have the HS project, too -- I've got the NB stitched & part of the 'over the chair' stitched. One of these years, I'll be done done with it.

This is so cute Cathy! Looking forward to see your finishing on it.

Being short-sighted is not a sign of ageing! I'm very short-sighted and like you, this handicaps me for over-one stitching. And I'm 24! ;o)

Your magnifier sounds cool BTW!

Ooooh, those 'quick' trips to the LNS can be dangerous. I'm starting to wonder whether I should just throw a card through the door with what I need, and wait outside until the order's filled ... I can NEVER get out the door unless I'm carrying at least 4 times as much as I actually wanted LOL.

I guess I'm lucky in that I really don't like our LNS - the women who work there are rude at best, and really awful if I have to bring the kids with me.

Your L*K makes me want to pull mine out for a quick stitch. You've done a beautiful job!

As for stitching over one, my DH accuses me of using a searchlight, our floor lamp is so bright. It helps though!
