The pinkeep on the left is one of the LHN/CC Fruit threadpaks (there are currently three available: Watermelon, Pear, and Apple). The pinkeep on the right is DT Too Tiny Sampler.

Both of these ornaments are Glory Bee Designs from recent JCS Ornament issues.

Thank you all for your recent comments. Marie S. and Adele, if you can share any additional information about the Hungarian embroidery, please e-mail me. I changed my profile to include my e-mail; you'll find it there.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
I'm back from Mass and have taken another good look at these wonderful pieces of embroidery. WOW is all I can say. Anna magazines from Germany feature work like this from time to time. I think that people in your EGA can help locate more information about it too. Perhaps even get in touch with the Hungarian or Austrian Embassies and ask them if they can supply more background information. Dad's mother was a dressmaker. He didn't tell us about her dressmaking skills but lots and lots about what a great cook she was. I've a gallery at Cyberstitchers "Maria's Busy Stitching". Our oldest son lives in the Mpls/St. Paul area. We visited him the fall of '99 and he took me to Stitchville USA. This has been fun and I've enjoyed looking at your work often.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful finishes, Cathy! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThe little pinkeeps are so impressive. I love how you finished them. I was looking at the pear and it looks like you stitched it in a circular pattern to add a different dimension to the pear with the overdyes. It's really beautiful. Ann.
ReplyDeleteWow you have had a finishing frenzy and everything looks really wonderful.
