Looky What We Got Last Night

It was inevitable; it just seems a bit early this year. You hope and pray that you won't see any of that fluffy white stuff until at least November. But alas, it is October 10 and we got snow. At least it was only a dusting! It's been cold here all week with temps in the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Pictured with the snow are our labs Zeta and Maggie, Zeta is the chocolate one and Maggie is the yellow one.

As the Spinster Stitcher would say, I have another "FEE NEE" to celebrate. Last Saturday, I picked up the fabric at Stitchville and a couple of the threads I was missing and promptly began stitching this one. At first, I didn't think I was going to like it so much, but now that it is finished, I love it!

Primitive Needle - Earth Sampler
36ct PTP Ale
Gast and WDW Fibers

So for today, well, I have a whole bunch of laundry calling my name, as well as dusting and vacuuming. Just a normal Saturday, ho hum. They are celebrating Okttoberfest in St. Paul this afternoon and evening, so I think I will take my mom to the German mass and then we'll go listen to the Bavarian Musikmeisters for a little while.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

You are so lucky to live by Stitchville. Everytime I come up your way that is my "must" stop. I have friends that live not to far from the store and they laugh at me each time I get to their home and just cannot sit still until we go to the shop. It is the biggest store I have ever seen and their hours are the best. We don't have any shops by us that are open on a Sunday or evenings.

Sorry about the snow. I live in NW Indiana and today we woke up to ice on our car windows. Burrr.....

I've heard of snow in other parts of Canada too so you were probably along the snow path!

Love your new finish. It looks like a fun stitch, and it's hiding somewhere in my stash.

Enjoy the Octoberfest!

Love your finish, very nice Cathy. Snow is a four letter word I am not looking forward to. Living in Utah, we get plenty of it, too bad I don't ski! LOL Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh my that is way too early for snow. I hope that it is just a fluke and you get back to some seasonal weather.
Nice finish on your Primitive.

Don't hate me but I love the snow!! We only get to see it where we live once every 10 year's or so and usually just a dusting! We're a couple of hours from the mountains and ski areas so if we want snow we have to travel to see it!

Love your Earth sampler!

Brr!!! Do your dogs like snow? I'm curious what ours would make of it.

Congrats on your lovely FEE NEE. That's one I have meant to do since I got it. Oops!

Seems like it's been cold all over, we've just had some seriously cold unseasonable weather for October too!

Love your finish, I just finished this one myself, I didn't discover the key errors until almost done though so mine looks a bit different to yours!

What a lovely finish!

I can't really comprehend the idea of snow in October - here was I feeling chilly because I've had to add a lightweight cardi to my daily clothing... :o)

Snow...already! Lovely finish.

Wow! Snow all ready. I'm jealous--I miss that white stuff, though I wouldn't want it already. It does make one want to hunker down & stitch, though.

Your pups are adorable!

Woohoo on the finish! I love it & plan to stitch it, as I do with everything Lisa designs. ;)

Hello
It really is incredible, being in October and somewhere in the worls already snows. Here in Portugal, we have temperatures 25º and above. We miss the Autumn transitional period to the rainy and cold Winter!!! Love all your work!! Those finished "Joy" are lovely"
