Final Post for 2009

Su has invited everyone to join her end of the year "party" and so I thought I would join in the fun. Please visit Su's blog for a list of other stitchers who are participating!

Much of my stitching in 2009 was for exchanges; I keep trying to cut back, but they are so darn much fun that I can't help myself! We'll see if I can resist some of the temptation in 2010. It's such a joy to connect with others around the world who share a passion for needlework!

Here are some of my other finishes in 2009. Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!

Quaker Alphabet (La D Da)

Petites Lettres Rouge (Blackbird Designs)

Dutch Strawberries (Goode Huswife)

Merry Christmas!

It's been a long time since I have posted; why does this time of the year have to be so gosh darn busy?

I need to share some overdue pictures with you - I received some gifts from special friends in the past two weeks.

First up, a lovely needlebook from Goldie -- pretty creative how this folds up into a compact size! Thank you Goldie.

Second, a pillow from Vonna. I was blown over when I opened the box up. Vonna made this wool applique pillow just for me. The design is from Blackbird Designs. Right up my alley. Thanks Vonna.

Lastly, a special non-blogging friend named Judy sent me the pins to go with the Jenny Bean pincushion that I intend to stitch as soon as the holidays are over. Thank you for your friendship Judy!

Dear blogging friends - I wish you peace and joy during this blessed holiday season!

Couple More Pics...

Busy weekend. Not much snow in our neck of the woods, but it sure is cold!

I had a few more pictures I wanted to share with you. First up is a pinkeep I received from Joan. I LOVE it! The design is from Beehive Needleworks and it is called Cranberry Deer Pinkeep. Have I told you how much I LOVE it? Thanks Joan!

Here is the ornament that I sent to Goldie for the FTT ornament exchange. You may recognize this design as I've stitched it before, but rather than finishing it as a square, I've done an octagon shape. Design is from the Nordic Needle and its in one of the JCS Ornament Mags (2002 I think!)

That's it. Getting ready for Vikings football tonight, but I won't be watching the game much. I'll be sitting in my chair stitching!

Quick Update

I've been sitting on this computer since I got home from work. I'll post a quick update, but then I'm going to go sit in my stitching chair!

First up - a cute ornament that I received from Carol during the week. It's a Lizzie Kate design. I love the little birdie and the snowman!

Second up - the ornament I stitched for Suzanne for the Friends Through Threads ornament exchange. The design is from Homespun Elegance. Appropriate for a stitcher, don't you think?

I have more to show you; will try to post again tomorrow!
