Progress Made

Hello and Happy Hump Day! Today I thought I would share with you the progress I have made on my Carriage House Samplings Alphabet Sampler. You might recall that I was planning to stitch two blocks each month. Well, January went well...then came along February...then March. In the past week or so, I've managed to add blocks C, D, and E. Maybe by the 31st I will have F stitched and then I will be back on track!

I took timeout from stitching this to whip up a hardanger doily for my friend Joan who celebrated a milestone last Sunday - her 50th birthday! This is my all time favorite hardanger pattern and I stitched it using some Needle Necessities perle cotton. Happy Birthday Joan!

Finally, a picture to show you what's been keeping me busy in recent weeks. My baby is a senior in high school this year. Her basketball team went to the state tournament and they placed second! My DD is the one in the middle!

Enjoy the rest of your week! Thanks for stopping by!

I missed your last post, but I just love your sampler! Your progress on the alphabet is looking wonderful. It's such a big piece, but so much fun to work on! The doily is wonderful too. I'm sure that Joan just loved it. And a big shout out to your son - and placing second in the State tournament!

I can't imagine the work that is involved in making the doily. It's absolutely wonderful!

I'd love to make the alphabet sampler but I don't think I'm at that stage yet in my young x-stitching career. I'll be following your progress closely and ooh-ing and aah-ing the entire way.

Congrats to your daughter and her team. Well done!

Just got the CHS "Alphabet Blocks" pattern. No fabric for it yet, but it's been added to my Very Large Projects That I Simply Must Stitch Someday list.

That doily is exquisite! Wow, beautiful work. Love the progress on the alpha sampler. I was the same way with mine--planned to do two blocks per month--didn't happen. I finally finished it mostly in a few months. Yours looks great on that fabric. Congrats to your daughter and her team!
