Lois from Elegant Stitch sends one of these kits each month and I'm months behind in stitching and finishing, so when I was home earlier this week trying to nurse my cold I though I could make a dent in my collection of Essy's Friends kits. As you can see, I completed three of them - from left to right, Drawn Thread, Glory Bee, and Indigo Rose.
As I look at this picture, however, I'm realizing that I finished the Indigo Rose scissors sheath upside down! Moral of the story - don't tackle new finishing techniques when you are sick!
I am sorry to hear you're ill. Are you feeling better now? I hope so! Your upside down scissor pocket makes me laugh! Just stitch a cord on the other end, and it's an unusual ornament. ;>
ReplyDeleteThey all look great, Cathy! My favourite is the pillow... So beautiful! Take good care!
ReplyDeleteThey look great Cathy, congratulations
ReplyDeleteYour finishing is all wonderful, as always Cathy. Sorry to hear that you've been under the weather - hope you feel better real soon!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about you being sick! Your finishes look great though!!!!
ReplyDeleteNice job, Cathy! I'm behind on my Essy kits, too. Like Karen, if you hadn't mentioned it, I probably never would have noticed the scissor sheath was upside down. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove all your finishes. I would have never guessed you had one upside down! Shhhhh! Just don't tell next time! Tee hee!
ReplyDeleteLove all of them! I have the ESSY's kits and haven't done one yet! So I better get busy!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching and finishing is beautiful. I love the Love pillow, so cute! Your scissor pocket is divine even if it's finished upside down.
They are so cute, I love small projects. You have great finishing too.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better now. Your small peices are fantastic, very pretty all of them.
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't mention it!!!!
ReplyDeletethey look lovely all together - nice job :)
Hope you are feeling better ... I think your three kits look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDoes it make a difference in the scissor sheath? It really looks nice in your photograph.
They all look fantastic Cathy! You've inspired me to get mine out again!
ReplyDeleteTook me a little bit to see how in the world you got that project upside down, lol! I'd let you finish anything of mine even if you were sick as a dog with the flu! :D
ReplyDeleteNice work on the Essy's. Put a long cord on that scissor sheath to hang it around your neck and then it will be right side up to you when you look down at it. Problem solved!
ReplyDeleteI love the Essy's, but they do come at you a little fast some months.
Feel better soon.
They're very cute, and I can't tell the Indigo Rose design is upside down :)
