Her design choice is perfect for me - I love patriotic designs. I got a bit of a bonus here - two pieces for the price of one! Both of the designs are from the LHN Heart of America pattern. One is a scissor keeper (I added my Glory scissors for the picture) and the other is floss ring tag. I've admired the scissor keeper finish on other blogs and now that I see Melissa's up close I am inspired to try this for an upcoming exchange. The floss ring tag is pretty cool too! (Sorry for the poor lighting; no natural light to be found - it just continues to rain here!)
Melissa -- many thanks, you made my day!
Off to stitch. Have a good evening everyone!
I am drooling over this little collection! Lucky you!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful exchange! I love the scissor pocket.
ReplyDeleteA lovely exchange from Melissa
ReplyDeleteLove them both! I've not tried either of those finishes, but I've been thinking about it. Of course I would have to stitch something first! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection! And a good thing that I didn't do what I had originally had planned for your 4th of july exchange...no kidding I was going to use Heart of America to make a sewing smalls set....yikes...that wouldn't have been cool to have two of them! LOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous set, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteVery nice finishes! Beautiful work, Melissa!! Lucky you, Cathy!!
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful. Simply beautiful! Congrats on such a lovely mail day.
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful!!! Melissa sent charming gifts : )
ReplyDeleteMelissa did a wonderful job on your gifts. The piece she used from Heart of America on the scissor case is my favorite little square from the design. I also love the idea of a stitched tag for a thread ring, I may try this one. Enjoy, CJ
ReplyDeleteGorgeous exchange! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThis is the second scissor pocket I've seen today, and it's just making me itch to try it!!!
ReplyDeleteYour set is so lovely and I'm sure will be a joy to use!!!
