Long Time, No Stitch

Where did April go?  It’s been such a long time.  I’ve been stitching some, but not nearly as much as I would like.

I’m happy to report that I have two more finishes, both from Blackbird Designs!  Looks like I’m going to need to schedule a finishing day real soon!

First - Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer Day...this was the companion piece to a class I took at Country Sampler two summers ago.

Next - Kindred Spirits...this was a club piece from the Country Sampler.  It’s been in my stash for awhile.  (Mad Tatter - look closely at the letters used, can you figure out what they stand for?)

Look at this awesome Etsy find!  It’s in pristine condition and now resides in my china cabinet!

Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Fling 2019

Last weekend was Stitchville’s Spring Fling with Blackbird Designs.  I’ll let the pictures do the talking!

One More Thing

Last weekend I took a class with Diane Fitzgerald during which we made these fun Whimsy Dolls.  We were supposed to bring ribbons or fabric to incorporate in the design.  I brought tatting!

Here are my dolls!

Thay can be worn on a necklace or perhaps made into a scissors fob.  Fun!

It’s April!

My how time flies!  I’m about to embark on an adventure but I didn’t tell you about my last adventure!

Two weeks ago, I spent the weekend in Madison, WI and took a class with the uncomparable Amy Mitten!  It was great to see her again.  It was great to see good friends again too.

The project we worked on was “Tour Van Holland.”

Amy brings a lot of models with her when she teaches, so there was lots of eye candy.

And the weekend wouldn’t have been complete without a little shopping at two of my favorite needlework stores!

What will my next adventure be?
