Dear Friends - I'm sure you're wondering where I've been lately. It seems like since Thanksgiving the days and weeks have just flown by. Not much stitching going on at my house; just busy trying to get things ready for Christmas. I might actually do some baking (my close friends will think I am ill when they read this - cooking and baking are not my favorite things to do!)
Since I have no stitching to share, let me share with you a book I just finished reading. The story is about a woman who learns to knit and relies on a weekly knitting group to help her cope with her grief after losing her 5 year old daughter to meningitis.
If tomorrow's baking is successful, maybe I'll share some pictures with you! Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Bad Blogger aka Cathy!
I haven't posted for a couple of weeks as well. When I saw the book you are reading by Ann Hood I thought it was the same author as "Knitting: a Novel" but it was by Anne Bartlett. You might like this book too if you like something involving knitting.
I will have to dust off the cookie sheets and do some Christmas baking this weekend too. Hope I can actually do it. If I do I will post some photos as well.
Good luck! :-)
Hi Cathy,
I read another book that is also good and a lot like the one you read. It is called "The Friday Night Knitting Club".
Good luck with the baking. I made my first batch of cookies yesterday.
Great basis for a novel. Heaven knows, my stitching friends have helped me through loss and sadness.
Great to hear from you!! Hope the baking went well. :D
