Just Checking In...

I thought I best check in here. My life is somewhat out of sorts these days. The job has been very demanding and doesn't leave much time for anything else.

There has been little time available for stitching, but I did finish up a "stitching small" which is going in the mail this week to Darby. We decided to do a personal exchange together. It's been fun corresponding and getting to know her. Once she receives the package I will post a photo for you.

I also started another sampler. I know, I know - I seem to be the Queen of Starts with no finishes! But, this is one that I would like to finish sooner rather than later. It's a birth sampler for the son of a very special friend. The pattern is in a recent edition of SANQ. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.

Lastly, here's a sweet little hardanger fob that I stitched for Wendy Jo.

Thank you for all your kind comments about my recent framing. Next time Michaels offers the 60% discount again I think I will take a few more pieces in. They did a nice job.
Hoping to plant myself in my stitching chair real soon and maybe take in some football tonight.

Sorry your job is overwhelming you right now -- such a bummer. I love what you've stitched on that sampler though -- so sweet! And the hardanger fob is pretty too. Hope you get to sit and stitch and watch football tonight!

Don't you just hate when life gets in the way of stitching? I love your sampler. It reminds me a lot of Ellen Birdseye! It's so sweet. And your fob is great too! Hope that work gets better for you soon.

Lots of lovely stitching, Cathy! I saw that birth sampler in SANQ and thought it would be fabulous and it is!

Sorry your job is so busy and overwhelming at the moment. Been there! Just remember to take deep breaths once in awhile!

I love the corners of that Hardanger Fob! I myself have too many charts with precious little "finishes".

That is such a sweet little birth sampler! Very classic--not too cutesie--something the recipient will enjoy for a long time. Love the fob! Hang in there.

Your new start is wonderful! It's so relaxing to just start something new every now and then, isn't it? :) The fob is lovely too. I hope you'll soon have more time to stitch!

Oh well, I know what you mean with a demanding week at your job. I usually fall asleep over my stitching in the evening, but hey, every stitch counts, even if it's just a couple of them every day.
Very nice new start of the birth sampler. And what you finished for Wendy-Jo is so pretty.
