Lazy About Posting...

Hello Friends. Thought I better check in here or you might think I've fallen off the face of the earth. I haven't by the way. Life continues to be busy and when I only have time for one extra thing in the evening I will almost always choose stitching over blogging (or anything else for that matter!) Although some evenings I am so tired that I just "veg out" but you don't want to hear about that -- you want to see the stitching!

I don't have too much to share; I've been working on some secret little gifties that aren't quite finished yet. I do have a finish though - over the weekend I stitched and finished the 2010 Shepherd's Bush fob. I am just thrilled with how it turned out! I was worried about the ribbon finishing, but it went together so quickly and easily! Here it is (modeled on the beautiful Gingher Elena scissors):

Shepherd's Bush 2010 Scissor Fob (kit)
"Find your Zen in 2010"

Speaking of Shepherd's Bush - is anyone out there going to their retreat? I would love to go, but this won't be my year - maybe 2012.

I also have some framing to share with you; this is the last of it now for awhile. Don't get me wrong, I still have a drawer full of stuff that needs to be framed, but will need to save some more $$ to fund the framing costs!

Thread Gathering, LHN - stitched in 2008

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! We had a small gathering of family members and enjoyed a delicious ham with some cheesy potatoes, asparagus, and a fruit salad. After dinner we played cards - have you heard of the game "Hand and Foot?" It involves several decks of cards; we played for a few hours. It was a good way for all generations to enjoy their afternoon together!

Too bad the weekend had to end -- just a four day work week for me this week. On Thursday my DD and I are traveling to her chosen college to schedule her classes for next year.

Wishing you a wonderful week filled with sunshine and stitching!

I love your fob Cathy. I bought that one and gave it away for a RAK, seeing yours makes me want one. Your framed stitching looks great! I am contemplating about the SB retreat. I live so close and I just don't know if I want to spend the money for somewhere so close to home.....is that weird or what??? Maybe that is why I should go. Confused...that's me.

Congrats on the completion and framing of those two beautiful pieces. I still need to stitch the Home of a Needleworker...so little time!
Wondering where your daughter will be attending school? Hope it is a mere "car" ride away!

Oh that pillow is gorgeous! And so is your framing. Always wonderful to hear from you. And I'm relieved I'm not the only one who occassionally vegs out in the evening. ;)

I had plans to go to the SB retreat with a friend from New Zealand but she had to pull out so I'm not going. Looking at the brochure, I don't think the theme really appeals to me this year.

I have both of those framed pieces in MY framing pile too! Snap. Love the SB fob....I need to get that. Of course that will mean I'll spend way more than I need to just to get the fob. LOL.

Oh how I love your new fob Cathy. And you have done a gret finishing job on it too.

I have HoaN almost done and it has been like that for a couple of years!! I have pulled it out to finish over the next couple of weeks. Only needs the green along the bottom!

No retreat for me this year, house building again. I was going with Alison and had to pull out sadly. Not sure if the theme is me either. I will try for 2012 perhaps.

Yes I am attending the Shepherd's Bush retreat this fall. Was wondering if anyone else has attended in the past and if I need to bring some kind of lighting.

Thanks, Melody
