Cooking With Gas

My Auntie Theresa was a character. She had certain phrases she would say that I think of every now and then. “Cooking with gas” was one of those things she used to say.

I guess you could say I’ve been “cooking with gas.” I now have all four of the medium sized pinwheels stitched.

Eight done and four more to go!

Ha! That was a favorite saying in our house as well! It doesn't make sense for us to say it now... we're all electric and have been for 40 years. I do have fond memories of cooking with gas. I burned far fewer meals!

I love your stitching! My stitching is sitting by my chair, carefully wrapped in a clean white towel to protect it from dust. Yes, it's been that long since I've picked it up!

Mom used to say that also.
The Pinwheels are all so pretty.

My Polish mom said that all the time! The Italian side always told her "you have a new electric stove!".

Very nice! That was a favorite phrase of a math teacher I had long ago.
