I'm so happy to have two blocks finished that I had to share them with you before heading off to bed. Please forgive me, I did not take time to press the fabric so it is a tad bit wrinkled, but I think you can see the progress I've made. I plan to fill in the lower blocks later. Not sure yet if I will fill them in with Bittersweet or a variety of different colors like Edgar is doing.
I can't wait to stitch the next block! But I think I will need to put this away until February as I have a few other things I need to work on.
Now, I must head off to bed!

Great job. I have that pattern and now I feel the need to stitch it up:)
Looking good so far Cathy!
Oh you drank the Kool Aid, I'm trying not to :) But honestly I've had these kitted for 6 months or more now...but....after posting yesterday that my two Longaberger pinic baskets held my WIPs, I've had lots of people saying I had a lot of WIPs...so now being the guilt ridden person I am...I'm thinking of finishing more before I start anything else...ho hum....
LOL at Vonna's comment about drinking the Kool Aid! ROFLOL Very pretty--the two blocks look great, Cathy!
Great beginning on this. It's such a beautiful piece. I will enjoy watching your progress as much as I do Edgar's. Everyone always adds a special touch to make their stitching piece unique and their own.
Great start! This piece is a fun one to stitch. Can't wait to see what you decide to do with the fill in!
Very pretty!!!
Wonderful stitching as always! Congrats :)
Beautiful start!
Beautiful progress Cathy! These looks great! I can't wait to see what you decide to do about filling in those bottom blocks.
A beautiful start, Cathy!
are both lovely. The more I see of this piece the more I like it. :)
I also like your Pear tree ornament finish. Lovely.
It looks wonderful so far Cathy. Have you considered Whiskey for filling in the blocks (that is if you want to use one color). I used that for mine and it was a little softer than the Bittersweet.
They are so pretty~~~~~ I love the colors!!!! Great start!!!
It was a pleasure to discover your blog and see so many gorgeous embroideries.
It looks beautiful so far. I really want to stitch these up sometime soon. Love it!
Beautiful job! Hey, I purchased the 35ct WDW fabric for this but am not sure when I will start. Also, picked up 2 hardanger patterns and a book so I am ready to go (if only I could find the time). :-)
Cute, cute, cute! I love this piece. No advice on the filling in, I've gone back and forth too. I think I will probably end up with the bittersweet but we'll see.
Looking great Cathy!!
Yay, Cathy, it looks fabulous so far!!
Applause, applause!! Cathy, good for you starting this piece. It's daunting, but it's so fabulous when finished. I like that you're waiting to decide about that fill in color...good for you on that, too. I always thought the consistancy of one color gave the whole piece stability to the eye...imho. :[ Hugs, Deb
Hooray, lovely work, Cathy!
They're lovely Cathy! I don't know why I haven't seen this piece before now but I'd love to add it to my stash.
Delightful! Do you have all the patterns?
I always love seeing these designs take shape, and this one is no exception. Look forward to watching its progress over the coming weeks :D
