More Snow? And a Wonderful Gift...

More snow? Yes! Mother Nature is in the process of dumping more fluffy white stuff on us. It took me about three times longer to drive home from work tonight, but I made it home safely and that's all that matters. Here's a picture of Mr. Snowman in our front yard; you can see that there are snowflakes falling all around him!

A package from a very special friend was waiting for me when I arrived home tonight. Wendy Jo sent this cute pinkeep. It's finished beautifully and I love the verse! This is from a Pine Mountain design. The fabric used to finish the back of the pinkeep is also cute! Thank you Wendy Jo.

I have a couple more stitchy gifts to share, but I'll save those for another post.

Hopefully you won't think I'm crazy, but I'm thinking about jumping on the bandwagon and joining the Crazy 2011 Stitching Challenge
You pick 15 projects, start one new project each of the first 15 days of January, and then try to finish all 15 before the end of the year. Crazy, huh? Probably, but it also sounds like fun. I am probably going to include a couple of my WIPs in my 15. Wish me luck!

I want to thank everyone who commented on my recent ornament finishes, both the Hardanger and the "Merry" ornaments. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Cathy,
I think you should "go for it" and join the 2011 Stitcher's Challange. I see about 30 finishes on your sidebar for 2010 so 15 should be a snap for you! I'll be watching your progress.

After Mother Nature is finished dumping snow in your neighborhood, she continues + just started dumping snow here.

I wanted to corral this ferral cat before the big storm arrived, but no luck, again. Will keep trying. She is a pretty cat + this bitter cold worries me.

I think your snow is to come visit me today. But the weathermen are only calling for an inch or so. We'll see.

Your gift was lovely. Lucky you!

Enjoy yourself with joining the crazy challenge. I will cheering you all on. I did this myself last summer and I still have a handfull to complete. Maybe after Christmas.

Smiles - Denise

Good for you for joining the challenge! I know there's no way I could start that many projects. It would drive me crazy!! But I'll enjoy watching everyone's progress.

The gift you received is wonderful!

I'm hopping on the challenge too, but I'm combining two challenges - the 15 new starts and the WIP challenge. I'm picking 7 WIPs and 8 new starts so that I don't drive myself crazy. As much as I'd love to start 15 new things, common sense tells me not too!

Glad you made it home safe through the snow. We haven't been dumped on yet, but I know it is coming our way.

What a lovely and thoughtful gift you received!

I am trying to resist the 2011 challenge...think being a designated cheerleader might work better for me. LOL!

We haven't had hardly any snow so far this season and I'm glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. I can't wait to see the projects you choose for the Stitcher's Challenge, January will certainly be very stitchy!
