Here's another close up look at one of my finishes from Saturday. Now, I can't take credit for the stitching on this one. Oh, yes - I had started stitching it but quickly determined that I really don't like stitching over one on 40 ct linen. (I'm not particularly fond of stitching over one on any count linen!) So, my friend Chris, who stitches in our Friday night sitching group, offered to finish it for me. To be honest with you, she stitched the whole thing (I think she took out what I had stitched and started over!) Anyway, here she is - Miss Mary Mack (all dressed in black) stitched over one on 40 count linen and finished as a tin pin. I plan to wear this as a necklace and need to find a chain for it yet.

She's so cute! I agree, over one on 40ct linen isn't that much fun ;)
Yeah I'm doing this one right now and I definitely agree over one on 40 ct, no way. Closest I could get was over 2 on 36 ct.
Over 1 on 40-count? Chris is a saint. And you are too for even starting this!
Congrats on Mary's joining your House of Lovely Stitching!
It came out beautifully, Cathy. Is the pin finishing difficult?
Could I borrow Chris from you for a bit? Her stitching is perfect! I just love this chart :o)
She's so cute! She's the twin to my Miss Mary. :o) Kudos to Chris for stitching this for you. Enjoy wearing it!
She is completely cool and you and your friend make a great team with great stitching and wonderful finishing. CJ
I love it and I want it! ;)
Such a GREAT friend to stitch this for you...and over one!!!
Your firend did a fab job!
How lovely for your friend to do Miss Mary Mack for you. it is a lovely piece. The needle books are beautiful. The Paperwhite pillow you made is exceptional. Nice work
I can't imagine over-1 on 40 ct!!! But Miss Mary Mack looks so delightful!
It's beautiful Cathy! xx
I love this pattern over one. This one looks great and will make a lovely necklace.
Miss Mary Mack! She turned out great and I think this is the first time I've actually seen it finished into the pin (though my memory could be failing me) You did a great job.
