Randje Week 9
Surprise! I guess I will close out the month with one more stitchy post! This week's installment of Randje!

One More Post
Can't believe tomorrow is March 1st! Before the new month starts, I want to squeeze in one more post. It's not a stitchy post though; have not had time for any stitching this week.
I just got home from a quick trip to Las Vegas. I was there for work, to attend an awards banquet on behalf of my employer. It was nice to get away for two days in a warmer climate.
My co-worker and I stayed at the Paris Hotel on Thursday night. This is one of my favorite hotels in Las Vegas.
We decided to take a ride on the High Roller. It's a 30-minute ride on the world's largest observation wheel that provides some awesome views of Las Vegas. Up to forty people can ride in a pod; there were only ten of us on Thursday night.
Beautiful views!
When we got back to the hotel, my friend wanted to play a couple slot machines. I'm not much of a gambler, but I played along and put two bucks in a machine. This is what I won:
Needless to say, I cashed out. I can use this money to buy some Nashville stash!
Many of the hotels were decorated for the Chinese New Year. This photo was from the Venetian Hotel.
It was fun to see the gondolas...
On Friday we switched hotels. Our event Friday night was at The Bellagio Hotel. Great views from the walkway to the Bellagio Hotel.
More Chinese New Year decorations too!
All good things must come to an end. I'm back home trying to get laundry and housework done so that I will have some stitching time tomorrow!

Final Weekend Post
Just a couple more snaps of my weekend finishes. First up is a little bit of stitching for a Jackie du Plessis kit that I picked up awhile ago. Yep, I definitely need to schedule a finishing day real soon!
The last piece I want to share is part four from Shepherd's Fold. I'm not sure I am going to finish it the way they suggested. I love the design so much, I want to be able to see all of it. Maybe a wallet type finish? We'll see.
Traveling now for a few days. Hopefully I will have something more to share this weekend!

Weekend's Progress
Here are just a few of the things I finished during last weekend's stitching retreat.
With this last panel, my pre-work for the upcoming Tulip Tray class is complete. It feels good to have it done.
And these two small projects were acquired last fall at Celebrations in St. Charles. Both designs are from Barbara Jackson.
I think there is going to need to be a finishing day in my future!

Long Weekend
Just returned from a long weekend at The Ranch. Enjoyed a stitching weekend with friends at a retreat center in Wisconsin. It was freezing cold outside but cozy warm inside. What a great weekend for stitching! Good food, good friends, lots of laughs and lots of time for stitching. Over the next few days I will share some of the stitching progress I made over the weekend.
First, check out this cute table favor that was waiting for us at dinner on Friday night. It was a Hershey bar disguised as a snowman!
I stitched Randje Week 8 during the weekend. I am really loving this project.
More tomorrow!

February
It's hard to believe that it is February already. I had hoped to sneak in one more post before the end of January, but ran out of time. At any rate, I think I did a pretty good job of posting regularly. Will try to do the same in February.
Despite a busy weekend, I managed to visit my LNS twice this weekend. The last Friday night of the month the shop hosts a Stitch-In. I don't go very often because I don't like driving home so late at night, but I had such a busy week at work that I figured I had earned it.
While there I worked on The Crown Sampler from Plum Street Samplers. I added the border on the left.
We had a delicious treat at the Stitch-In. This delectable dessert was called Chocolate Brownie Trifle. What a treat!
Of course I had to return today for the SuperBowl sale. There were a lot of stitchers there, you had to be a bit patient when looking at the fibers and the linens. Everyone was so happy. It was great fun seeing and visiting with stitching friends.
This was my favorite purchase - Stitcher's Resolution from Heartstring Samplery. The linen is 35 count Antique Lambswool. The fiber colors seem to pop on it!
Downtown Abbey or the Super Bowl? I'm going to switch back and forth between both!
