November - Lucy Beam

The rest of October flew by. Our little Griffin had surgery on his cleft lip in October and we were busy packing up the Mad Tatter as she decided it was time to move out of her home and into a smaller senior apartment. At the end of October I enjoyed a weekend with stitching friends at the Ranch.

In November we traveled to Blue Earth for a weekend with Becky Noland of Lucy Beam. We stayed at an Airbnb located above the shops on Main Street, just a few doors down from Welcome Stitchery. Our weekend project included cross stitch and embroidery stitches and we received kits for two pockets and a needleroll!

Had to stop and visit some of the Blue Earth residents while we were there!

October - Jacob Palooza!

In October, we traveled to London, Ontario for Jacob Palooza! The event was hosted be Evertote. Jacob was amazing. So knowledgeable! He brought several antique samplers with to share with us.

Jacob taught us how to do an open hemstitch and we also talked about Frisian letters. Our project for the retreat was a sampler that was stitched by both a mother and daughter. It’s a big one. “Go big or go home!” 

We had wonderful tablemates. Christine from Mountain Crafts Studio brought her beautiful box entirely stitched on the outside. Thanks to the box, we met everyone at the retreat!
