Spring Fling

Last weekend was Stitchville’s annual Spring Fling (#9).  Our guest teacher was Jeanette Douglas.  She is such a delight.  She designed a wonderful project for us (which I will share in my next post).

One of the best things about Spring Fling is the opportunity to see stitched models and finishes from some of the stitchers in attendance.  Here’s a sampling of the many projects that were on display.

It was a great weekend to be inside stitching!

It’s All About the Weather

I’m at Stitchville’s Spring Fling this weekend.  Jeanette Douglas is our guest teacher.  We’re working on a wonderful project which I will share more about later.  For now though, I must tell you that the big topic of conversation is the weather.  We are in the midst of a blizzard!

At last year’s Spring Fling, we were painting and waxing frames on this patio!  Hard to believe it is Spring, right?

One More Tatting Post

Just keeping the Mad Tatter happy! Here’s one more post with a few more doilies.  The two round ones are called Spinning Wheel from Konior.  The other four are from a Korean tatting designer and are called Tatting Lace with Your Life.

The Mad Tatter Loves Robin Perfetti

The designs below are all from Tatting designer Robin Perfetti, Tatting by the Bay.  In the center, the large doily is the Bouquet Doily.  The hearts on either side are Robin’s Classic Heart.  The blue doily on the right is Kaleidoscope Coaster.  The multi-colored doily on the left is the Floral Coaster.

The Mad Tatter Has Been Busy

She’s been watching basketball and now baseball and keeping out of trouble.

The ice drops on the right and left are patterns designed from Lace Lovin Librarian.  I’ve got some closeups of the doilies and the hearts.  Stay tuned....

My Current WIP

Matter’s Choice by Carriage House Samplings.  I lied about the linen last time.  It’s actually called Fossil from Picture This Plus.

Spring in Minnesota

Yes, we call this “Spring”.
