Retreat Day 2

Every morning we start with a delicious breakfast.  The bacon is to die for.  Yesterday we had french toast.

I focused on Wild Roses from Carriage House Samplings yesterday.  All I have left is the personalization.

Today I will be working on a Prairie Schooler piece that I started during Friday night’s “starty party”. The fun ends at noon.  :(

Prairie Schooler Christmas Samplers

This is challenge piece #4...Christmas Samplers from Prairie Schooler.  I’m participating in the #Stitch9Challenge with a group of stitchers on Instagram.  The goal is to try to finish nine pieces by the end of the year.

I’ve really been getting a lot of stitching done this weekend.  I’ll come back later with an update for you.  It’s a cold morning in Wisconsin.  Not much snow on the ground.  The bacon is cooking and we’ll be eating breakfast soon.  Then I will settle into my chair for the day.

On Retreat

Today’s stitching progress...

Satsuma Street’s 12 Days of Christmas.  I stitched “My True Love” and outlined the last row of boxes.

This is going back in the bag now...

This is challenge piece number three - The Strawberry Patch from Homespun Samplar.

This is a delicious stitch.  I’m not quite sure why I sopped working on it!

12 Days of Christmas

Yep, you probably figured you would see this one in the mix.  I should be able to finish it, right?  I’ve already stitched seven of the days!

It’s been fun looking at everyone’s picks for the #stitch9challenge!  I hope we are all successful in finishing them!

Wild Roses

I’ve been working steadily on this piece and will continue stitching on it until It is finished.

I’ve also joined the “Stitch 9 Challenge” on Instagram and have selected nine projects which I would like to finish this year.  Wild Roses is number one.  I’ll show the other eight projects to you over the next few days.

Hope the New Year is going well for you.

Happy New Year!

Happy 2019!

I opted not to start a new project today.  Instead, I decided to continue stitching on a piece I started back in October.  It’s called Wild Roses and it is from Carriage House Samplings.

I stitched this once before as a gift for a friend.  This time, I’m stitching it for me.  It will be personalized, but I have to work all of that out yet.

The linen is a pretty golden yellow with very subtle hints of an orangey pink here and there.  It is very pretty.

Wishing you peace and many hours of stitching in the new year!
