Little more progress made on this Betsy Morgan piece. I just have the front side of the scissor fob left and then I am going to have to have a serious finishing day!

Once I got started, I just had to finish it. Here is the necklace from Rovaris.
My husband, son, and the Mad Tatter and I went out for brunch after Easter Mass today. No cooking, no clean-up, lots of variety. Not sure we would do this again; it was a bit chaotic at the restaurant, but it was something different and it allowed us to enjoy the rest of the day.
Happy Easter!
I've been mostly absent this week for a variety of reasons; very little stitching done. Tonight though, I had time to finish stitching the letter "C." With any luck this will be turned into a necklace tomorrow.
Happy Easter!
I'm back working on the Pioneer Girl's Book Etui again. All I have left is the over one stitching and it's kind of slow going. Tonight I finished up the birdhouse.
Tomorrow I'll stitch the blue bird!
I enjoyed stitching this sampler so much that I am almost feeling sad that the journey is over! This is Excursion #2 from Amy Mitten's series "From Around the World Every 80 Days." This sampler is called Vierlande and it was designed in the style of samplers stitched between 1790 and 1860 in an area located southeast of Hamburg, Germany.
Of course, I think it was enjoyable because only one thread color was used!
I now have two stamps in my passport: Scotland and Vierlande!
Now I'm really ready. The pattern for this little thimble holder/cover was missing from my kit, but another stitcher sent me a copy. All my stitching is complete. Can't wait to finish this!
Cold here in MN. On my way home from work it was trying to snow. Brrrrr.
Tomorrow morning I'm stitching with friends at Stitchville. Can't wait.
...but I'm kind of tired tonight. Busy work week.
I stopped to visit my Mom (aka Mad Tatter) tonight after work. She had made a delicious pork roast and some delicious noodles.
Here's her latest tatting finish; this is a gift for the choir director at her church.
My Mom used to do huck embroidery. I bet this towel is 60 years old...
And, just in case you wanted to see what a tatters "tatting nook" looks like, this is her table next to her comfy chair.

Gotta love my Mom.
After all that over one stitching, I needed to switch to a little bit of over two - hence the return of Vierlande! A couple more nights and I could have this one finished.
It's done! I'm ready!
Actually, I need to stitch a thimble cover yet, but the pattern was not in my kit. Or I lost it. One of the other class participants is going to send it to me.
Switching to some over two stitching now.
Don't you love this face?
The trunk of the tree is in. I just have to stitch the verse on the right side.
This is the page which goes inside of the needlebook. Just a little bit more to go.
I should be able to wrap this up tomorrow night!
I learned a new stitch tonight. I had to pull out my handy, dandy reference book - The Proper Stitch - to make sure I was doing it correctly. The a Roman Stitch was used to create the grassy hill under the lovely lady with the really cool hat!
I added the flowers on the bottom on the left too. Just need to add a tree trunk and some personalization on the right. Then I need to stitch the page that goes inside the needlebook. Making good progress!
My little lady is dressed in her Sunday best. I love the hat! This project is coming along much more quickly than I thought it would!
It's coming along!
Thoroughly enjoyed the final episode of Downton Abbey. Going to miss that program!
I got new classes yesterday. I've been stitching with them on today. It's amazing how much better I can see these little stitches!
After going to town on the alphabet, I've made only very slow progress...
I have a good excuse though...
I'm really enjoying this sampler. I love to stitch alphabets, and it's so relaxing to stitch with one thread color!
