Before and After

Before..... (blogger is misbehaving tonight...this is the only "before" shot that will post correctly!)

After.....with all the satin stitches added in the double-sawtooth border!

The color of the linen in this next picture is the most accurate!

I am much happier now.  What a relief that I realized that I had forgotten those satin stitches before it was framed!

This is beautiful Cathy! I'm so glad you caught that too. The sawtooth border really sets the piece off. I do have a few things on my wall where I missed something small, but luckily I've been able to catch the big ones too. Once I almost framed a Drawn Thread piece where I hadn't given the birds any legs!

Happy Day!

Beautiful! Glad you caught those satin stitches before getting the sampler framed. As Margaret said, they add so much to the sampler.

Hope you'll email me a photo for my sampler newsletter.

It is a good thing you noticed to do the satin stitches! They really "take it up a notch!!!" Speaking of satin stitches...I just learned how to do them this past weekend! Linda from Chessie & Me taught me! Isn't that cool?? She showed me the Smyrna too. Now that I know them I don't know what I was so scared of.

Your finish is gorgeous Cathy!!!!
