I received a gift from my friend Lelia a few weeks ago. I was busy getting ready for the trip to the Betsy Morgan class in Indianapolis, so never posted anything here.
Lelia was one of the very first bloggers I connected with when I first started my blog back in 2005. She gently encouraged me as I explored and became comfortable with this new communication vehicle. After a 7-year online friendship, we finally met last October when I was in Indiana visiting House of Stitches. Lelia also met my mom on that visit; they share a common interest - tatting. We enjoyed our visit.
A few weeks ago, a box arrived from Lelia. In the box was a bag for me and a bag for my mom. Lelia had made these origami bags with beautiful fabric and filled them with goodies for each of us.
Notecards with beautiful Monet paintings on them, a tin for needles, and a Vera Bradley tape measure! My mom's bag included tatting thread and a shuttle.
It was a wonderful and unexpected surprise from a great friend. Thanks Lelia!

What a lovely gift for you and your mom!
Hope it was an easy process to post your blog this way. Seems to have worked fine from this side. The bags are lovely what a nice gesture. CJ in OK

What beautiful gifts you and your mom received.

The post looks good! I don't have an iPad but I heard they can do everything but cook. And stitch.
