My Name is Cathy and I am a Stitchaholic

I’ve been cleaning through my stash (aka the needlework shop in my basement). Oy vey. I need to get a grip on things. Either I need to stitch faster or figure out a way to live until I’m 300. Please know, I still plan to stitch everything that is in this little shop of mine.

Tonight, I went through my WIPs (Works in Progress) and took some pictures. I also took pictures of all the lovely samplers and other projects that are kitted up and ready to go, but not started. I thought maybe we could visit my stash for a few posts. I love it when the Flosstubers share their WIPs and their stash with us!

My first photo though is of my finishing pile. Such a sad state of affairs.  There are four or five projects with frames just waiting to be stretched and pinned. See that bucket?  There are two fully stitched Betsy Morgan projects that need to be assembled. I know that there is also a Chessie and Me class piece, a beautiful Pomegranate colored needlework pocket from Hands on Design, several ornaments ... and I could go on and on. Maybe I should call in sick at work next week?

Here are my first two WIPs.  WIP number one is the Snooty Parrot sampler.  It’s about time I get this done!

WIP number two is the Sojourner Sampler from Heart’s Ease Examplar Workes.  I love the colors of the linen and the silk fibers.  I need to get this one done too.

I think I better get busy and do some stitching!

Can I join your Stitchaholic group? 😂😂 I’m in the process of organizing my stash......patterns, floss/threads, linen, WIPs, things to be FFO’d. I’m hoping for a blizzard that will keep me house-bound for a week or so with 24 hours of stitching time! That’s a pretty far-fetched dream since I live in the southern part of Tennessee. But.......one can dream! 🌨❄️🌨❄️☃️☃️ I’m looking forward to reading your “stash” posts.

Oh Cathy, when you figure out the 'cure' for this addiction, please let me be the first to know!!! Oh wait.....I don't want to be cured...maybe a small intervention on the stash enhancement side!!!! In all seriousness, this 'addiction' brings me much pleasure and joy, as I know it does you.

Welcome to Club Stitchaholic! Both of the samplers you featured are so pretty and yes, I think they need to be finished and enjoyed. I hope you have a good weekend and perhaps you can get in some stitching!

You are certainly in a great group of like-minded people here in the stitch-aholic club. All part of this great addiction. Instead of doing the same organization, I'm here on the internet. Ugh. Maybe I'll go work for an hour and not feel so guilty.

Snooty Parrot!! It's been a while since I heard that title. I am impressed that you plan to stitch all of those projects in your little shop. Most of us admit we buy to own and realize it will never be stitched. I like your gumption!!

Snooty Parrot is delightful! Read backwards from your most recent post and I just love the colors and the fabric you're stitching it on! What fabric are you using, and are you using the charred colors? (she asked, as if she needs any more samplers in her mountainous to do pile)l, lol)
