Sunday Evening Already?

Gosh, where did the weekend go? Mine certainly flew by!

On Saturday morning, I had the pleasure of meeting Linda N at a local bakery/coffee shop. Linda is leading the Apricot Elegance SAL for the Stitching Smalls Yahoo group. Shortly after starting this project we both realized we were in MN and then quickly figured out that we lived about 2 miles from each other. Small world, isn't it? Linda had the opportunity to go to Nashville and so it was fun to hear all about it. We admired each others progress on the Apricot Elegance project.

Due to family commitments and my daughter's basketball tournament, I didn't get too much stitching done this weekend. Today, I stitched three squares on the Drawn Thread Game Board Sampler that I'm doing with Bine. (Will post updated photo next week-)

Last night, I worked on the Homespun Elegance Snowman Button Sampler - all that's left is to finish the bottom mittens, stitch the top mittens and to stitch the snowman.

I'm also going to stitch with Katrina on the Drawn Thread Spot of Summer/Winter. Katrina is actually doing summer and I'm stitching winter. Well, I was going to stitch winter. Imagine my surprise when I opened the chart pack on Wednesday night and - there was no pattern! I think it was a printing oops! The inside pages are blank. So, since I don't have time to go back to the needlework store right now, I'm going to switch and stitch Spot of Autumn with Katrina. She started on hers last week; I won't be able to start until this week!

Has anyone made any purchases since Nashville? I have already received "A Most Noble Pursuit" from Elegant Stitch. I've ordered the "Red Desert Scissors Pocket" from Elegant Stitch too. Other than that, I've just got a wish list going. It's getting pretty long...

Thanks to all who have stopped by and left a comment. Have a great week!

Your snowman sampler already looks great! The fabric is very beautiful, and I love the shapes of the letters...
Shame for the Drawn Thread winter pattern! I hope you can get it soon!
Thanks for leaving a kind comment on my blog.
Take care!

You've already received A Most Noble Pursuit?! I pre-ordered mine, but it hasn't even been shipped yet! :-(

I did buy another Nashville-release directly from Kathy (CHS) that's arrived and I love it.

The HE is looking great! I love your fabric choice!

My LNS had Show and Tell from Market on Saturday, but due to circumstances, I didn't get to go have a peek. I know Nancy (owner) and Carol brought back some great things. I will just have to make a trip later to see some of the goodies.

Have a great week my friend!

Wonderful HE & DT projects! You'll have fun with both of them. Good choice in stash enhancing.

Sorry to hear your pattern was blank!! What a bummer.

Take Care GF

I once bought a pattern called "Plain & Simple" from Cross 'n Patch. When I got it home and opened it up I found out how "plain & simple" it was! No chart. I quickly called Emmie Bishop and just asked for the chart as I had the outside part of the leaflet, but she sent me a new entire chart>

Hi Cathy, oh no, thats no good about the pattern :( I've been meaning to ask if you are intending to stitch the spots individually or on one piece of fabric? mine are done individually. PS. I just left a post on Bine's blog to say I'm getting very tempted watching your sampler game board SAL, another to add to the list of DT projects I'd like to stitch one day, sigh, lol.

How cool that you were able to meet up with Linda! She is such a talented lady; I've often wondered how much knowledge I'd be able to absorb just by talking with her. :)

I've been able to keep myself from actually buying anything from Nashville so far. I just added them to my wishlist; I don't need more stash! LOL

Still waiting on my pre-ordered Noble Pursuit, otherwise I haven't seen anything I HAVE to have right away. HE looks fabulous!

You're going great guns with your snowman sampler :) And how wonderful to catch up F2F with Linda - what a wonderful thing the internet is for bringing friends together :) I wish I could have been there too - would loved to have met both of you :)) Hope this will be the first meeting of many for you both :))

I love the red dessert scissor pocket but want the scissors too. I've also put together a wish list of things from Market but I'm trying to hold off for a bit to make sure I haven't missed out on something even better. Happy Stitching, CJ

Your Snowman Button Sampler is coming along great. I'm enjoying your progress on it.

What a bummer about your DT chart. At least you had another to pick from the stash. :-)

I also ordered the Red Desert Scissor Pocket. DH took me to Joann's and bought the scissors for me! (Guess I'll keep him.)

Have a great weekend!

Hugs...
