Road Trip to LaCrosse

A couple of my stitching friends and I made a road trip to LaCrosse today. Our mission - to attend the Oktoberfest Needlework Show. More on that in tomorrow's post. (Lots of pictures to organize!)

After we visited the needlework show, we had to stop at the needlework shop. LaCrosse is very lucky to have Crosse Stitchery; it's a great shop!

When I was here last year, I forgot to take a photo from outside. It's in a great old building. The window display is all decked out for Halloween!

I love looking at their framed models; many of them are from some of my favorite designers!

Lots of linen, lots of fibers, more stitched models. We had a great time perusing the baskets of patterns and kits.

I just like the ambience of this shop; it's quaint and cozy.

One more shot from outside...

After shopping we stopped for some lunch at Marge's. I know that the local group hangs out here quite a bit. Home cooking, just like the sign says...

Will share pictures from the Needlework show tomorrow!

What fun! Crosse Stitchery is a great shop. I visited there twice last April while in La Crosse for the Collie Club of America national specialty show - one visit just wasn't enough. Thanks for sharing your photos and bringing back memories.

I wish we had shops like that here in the UK, I don't think I would ever leave it!

Best wishes.
