On the Sixth and Seventh Day...

...Seven Swans a Swimming, Six Geese a Laying...

Friday and Saturday were stitchy days for me.  Despite the frigid temperatures, I went to Friday night Stitch-In at Stitchville.  Had a great time stitching with friends.  The roads were a bit treacherous on the way home, but I stayed to the right and drove slowly and carefully.  Yesterday, another group of stitching friends gathered at our local grocery store that has a community room.  I arrived at 10:00am and stayed until 4:00pm!  Stitched my day away!

Today I’ve been doing some crafting.  A friend told me about these punches you can buy at Michael’s that are shaped like a gift tag.  I used my coupon so it was only about $7.00!  I used the punch to recycle my Christmas cards.  Now I have gift tags for next year’s gifts!

Today’s focus is on the blue band sampler (which I am stitching in red).  If I stick to it, I think I can have it finished by midnight.  I think I can, I think I can!

Happy New Year!

What a great idea to use the tag punch on Christmas cards! I'm copying that idea as I have a few tag punches!

I love this free series and the needleroll on red is beautiful! A great way to bring in the New Year with a completed project! Have a Happy New Year! Mary

Yes you can, yes you can! When the temps are so cold--stitching is the perfect way to past the time

Happy New Year Cathy <3
Your stitching is gorgeous, and 6 geese a laying and 7 swans a swimming are no exception.
Sounds like a good plan to stay inside and craft/stitch, as the weather is truly frightful...stay warm and safe, and cozy.
Hugs

Your tags are adorable and what a good way to reuse your Christmas cards. It sounds like you had two good stitch outings and got in some good stitching time. Your red band sampler is looking super. Happy New Year!

I will be checking to see if you finish tonight. It is going to be a beautiful piece. Glad you had so much fun stitching and drove very carefully. Your weather has really been difficult!
