Carriage House Samplings Wild Roses

I’m shocked.  I have another finish and it’s only February 15th.  I started this piece last October.  It’s the second time I’ve stitched this design.  The first time, I stitched it for a friend and personalized it with her family’s initials and birthdates.  I loved the color of the linen and the threads and knew that I had to stitch it for myself.  Here it is:

The linen is 40ct Golden Promise and I think it is from Silkweaver.  The fibers are DMC (except for the black; I like to use Anchor black).  I personalized this in remembrance of my mother’s family.  Fischer was my grandmother’s maiden name; Nikosch was my grandfather’s name.  The first letter of their first names can be found at the top left and right.  Then down the left and right sides of the sampler are the initials for their ten children.  My mom’s initials are bottom right since she was the baby of the family.  I can’t wait to get this piece framed.

Check out this awesome find that I purchased on Etsy.  I just happened to do a random search and this finished piece popped up for a sweet price.  It is beautifully stitched Hardanger doily on Hardanger fabric.  I love the lacy edge!  I’m sure it was an estate sale find; the seller was here in Minnesota.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great weekend!

Congrats on another beautiful finish! Very pretty Hardanger piece, I had so many from mom and family and we didn't know which were purchased, most are gone now.

Your sampler is beautiful! I'm purposely keeping yarn and thread within view to remind myself that I have more than enough projects already. Luckily, I can admire your beautiful stitching online.
